How 3Truth works

Getting started, detection modes, how to read verdicts, real file limits, and troubleshooting — without marketing fluff.

Getting started

Create an account Sign in with email OTP from signin.html. You need a session to run scans and keep history.

Open the detector Go to Detector and pick Text, Image, or Video.

Provide input Paste text, drag a file, or use Paste media URL for a public HTTP(S) media link.

Run the scan Hit INITIALIZE SCAN. Results show verdict, confidence, evidence, and export options (including PDF when available).

Detection modes

Text

Stylometry and language-rhythm analysis for human vs AI writing. Supports English, Arabic, and mixed text. Document upload (PDF/Word) is available from the text tab when configured.

Image

Forensic inspection of photos, screenshots, renders, and edited images — pixel patterns, compression cues, and metadata when present.

Video

Temporal analysis across frames for synthetic motion and face-swap style artifacts. Large videos take longer than text or images.

Audio is not a first-class product surface in the current UI. Plans and docs only advertise what the detector actually runs.

Reading results

Each scan returns a forensic verdict with confidence, human/AI probabilities, and evidence families. Confidence is bounded by evidence quality so weak signals cannot invent certainty.

Human lean Strong organic / human-authored indicators
Mixed Mixed signals or low confidence — treat as uncertain, not a hard fail
AI lean Synthetic / AI-generated indicators dominate the evidence

Always read reasons and warnings with the score. A detector is a decision aid, not a court ruling.

Limits & formats

UI and gateway defaults as shipped today (environment variables can override server-side sizes):

Free / Pro / Ultra / Team gate monthly words and detections via server-side entitlements. See Pricing for current numbers. PDF report export uses the in-browser exporter when available.

Privacy & accounts

  • Identity is email OTP via Supabase Auth — sessions are restored on refresh until they expire.
  • Dashboard history is limited to your account under row-level security (typically the latest rows).
  • The browser only holds public config (URL + publishable key). Secrets stay on the server.
  • Do not put credentials or private personal data into free-text samples you submit for scanning.

Troubleshooting

Scan blocked / “Please sign in”

Your session is missing or expired. Sign in again from Sign in, then retry.

URL media fails

Only public HTTP(S) links that return a direct media file are accepted. Pages that only embed a player often cannot be fetched. Prefer a direct .jpg / .mp4 link.

Upload rejected

Check size against the table above and confirm the browser can decode the format. Re-encode HEIC/MOV if needed.

Slow video

Long or high-resolution video takes longer than text/images. Wait for the loading state to finish rather than re-submitting immediately.

Unexpected verdict

Review evidence breakdown and warnings. Short, heavily edited, or heavily boilerplate text can be ambiguous. Report persistent issues via Contact.
